Xavier Roca Rada
Biography
Xavier is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Computational Molecular Biology (CCMB), Brown University, working with Emilia Huerta-Sanchez. His research focuses on ancient DNA, with a particular interest in population genomics and human evolution.
Prior to this, Xavier was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Coimbra in Portugal, working alongside João Teixeira and Pedro Carvalho. He was awarded his PhD in Paleogenomics under the supervision of Bastien Llamas at the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA (ACAD), University of Adelaide, in December 2022. Xavier completed his BSc in Biology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and obtained a MSc in Biological Anthropology, a joint program between UAB and the University of Barcelona.
