Biography

Fourth-Year Grad Student at the Center for Computational Molecular Biology (CCMB)

Hometown: Rosenheim, Bavaria, Germany

Advisor: Lorin Crawford

Research Interests:  Genetics, Epistasis

What excites me about my research is using math and coding to learn something about the world.

I decided to do a PhD because I wanted the opportunity to learn more and set myself up for work that involves continuous learning.

The most challenging part of my work is  working with data.

My favorite thing about my graduate program is the tight knit phD peer group at CCMB.

After my PhD, I want to find a job where I can continue researching and learning.

Outside of work, I like to go to the gym, run, read the news, and listen to podcasts.

Highlighted work:

“Partitioning the non-additive variation of complex traits.”
